Pool Rules

SMC Pool is a private pool and is intended for residents and guests accompanying residents only.  All others will be asked to leave the premise.

We have no lifeguard on duty so all swimmers Swim at their Own Risk.

In order for all residents to obtain the highest quality of enjoyment during the summer months please adhere to the guidelines below.

Quick points for all residents knowledge

  • If the water hose is in the pool, please let it be.  This is our only means to fill the pool and keep adequate levels so the city does not shut us down.  Do not move the hose from the large pool to the wading pool, or vice-versa.  Our wading pool does not filter in the large pool and if the hose is left on in the wading pool it goes straight to the drainage ditch.  Hence, causing our water bill to rise very quickly.
  • If you notice the notice extremly low water levels (below the blue tiles), do not enter the pool.  Contact Jenny Enabnit or other volunteer immediately.  The city makes routine checks on water levels and has the authority to close our pool if too low.
  • It is important that all toys be removed from the pool each evening so as not to interfere with filters.  We do not currently have a daily pool service, please do your part in helping to maintain a clean pool.  Our service comes on Mondays and Fridays this summer (2011).  We are responsible for water levels and chemical checks on a daily basis.  If you would like to help please contact Jenny Enabnit Jenny_enabnit@me.com
  • Pool trash gets collected on Thursday mornings (summer 2011).  Place all trash from pool deck in large cans for collection on Wednesday night.  This is also a resident responsibility.  If you are there on Wednesday night, feel free to take the cans to the street (Cathers Creek).  Again, once the trash has been collected on Thursday, if cans are empty and you are at the pool, feel free to bring them back into the pool area.  We are relying on neighbors to help in this matter.  If you would like to volunteer and be on the calendar, contact Jenny Enabnit or Kelley Burwick for addition to the calendar.
  • The pool itself may not be reserved at any time for any reason.
  • A resident may use the pool for parties, however please notify Kelley Burwick so that the calendar can be updated of date and times so that if neighbors choose to not visit the pool during busy hours they may do so.
