Welcome to the neighborhood.  This page is meant to help you get acquainted with your new home and neighbors.

NEIGHBORHOOD DIRECTORY

First, to stay on top of the latest happenings in the neighborhood, register for an account.  To keep the neighborhood directory and other information private, your request will be sent to a moderator to confirm that you do live in the neighborhood.  This is a great way to meet new neighbors, discuss local schools and get the basics about your new location.   Next, sign up for the neighborhood mailing list.   This allows us to keep you informed of the latest events happening in the area or neighborhood.

AMENITIES

StoneMill Creek has the following amenities available for residents.   The clubhouse, perfect for the graduation party, small wedding reception, book club, or other event.  A full-size swimming pool (3-5 feet) and additional wading pool with fountain for children under the age of 5.  We also offer a playground, 2 tennis courts with lights for those who enjoy playing in the evenings, and 10 acres of nature trails including a small pond that are located directly across from our neighborhood.

HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION

StoneMill Creek is currently an HOA operated subdivision as of August 31, 2011, and we follow the Covenants that you should have received at your home’s closing.  If not, no worries.  We have them on the website as well.  At the moment the developer is responsible for the costs of maintaining the amenities and you should receive a yearly budget that outlines what our HOA dues are applied towards.  The HOA dues are $650.00 per year and are billed in January.

As of August 31, 2011 SMC elected their first Board of Directors.  The Board consists of 5 individual; 3 members with a 2-year term and 2 members with a 1-year term.  We are all very excited about this monumental move towards independence.  We encourage volunteers to help out whenever possible and in multiple capacities-please view the Volunteer Opportunities page for more information.  If you have questions about your HOA dues or need a pool code please contact Access Management at www.accessmgt.com .

ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE

We have an ARC committee that oversees developed homes.  All permanent changes to your property including, but not limited to playground additions, curbing, exterior painting, and tree removal must be approved by the ARC.  You can find out more details and the instructions on how to request approval for a home change by visiting the Official Documents page.  Again, approval must be granted before any exterior project can begin.  Decisions are usually made within 30 days from request.

Please read the frequently asked questions for other important information and commonly asked questions about the neighborhood.

We have compiled a list of phone numbers and web sites for your convenience.  Please note that this list is provided as a courtesy and you may chose any company for any utility that services our area.  When you establish service, be sure to mention that you are in the city of Hiram and located within Cobb County.  Hiram city also is located in Paulding County so please be sure to distinguish, as many tax rates are different.
